Hispanic Counseling Center is currently seeking a highly motivated/dedicated Bilingual (Spanish/English) clinician to join our multidisciplinary clinical treatment team in the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Clinician will conduct individual, family and group sessions.
  • Clinician will facilitate psycho-educational groups
  • Clinician will complete assessments, progress notes and treatment plans for the clients in the mental health outpatient clinic.
  • Must meet deadlines for all documentation and paperwork requirements.

REQUIRED:

  • LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC is required.
  • Must be fully fluent in both Spanish & English.
  • Clinician must work on-site from the agency.

PREFERRED:

  • 3-5 years in Mental Health Outpatient clinic experience
  • Working with multicultural populations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Excellent computer skills; Familiarity with EMR/EHR (Accumed) and telehealth platforms (zoom and doxy.me)
  • Familiarity with NYS/OMH Article 31 and Medicaid Regulations.

The Hispanic Counseling Center is seeking a Bilingual Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to work in the Substance Use Disorder Outpatient

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Clinician will conduct individual, family and group sessions.
  • Clinician will facilitate psycho-educational groups
  • Clinician will complete assessments, progress notes and treatment plans for the clients in the Substance Use Disorder outpatient clinic.

REQUIRED:

  • Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) degree
  • Must be fully bilingual in Spanish/English
  • CASAC must work on-site from the agency

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work in addition (preferred)
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders
  • Excellent computer skills; familiarity with EMR/EHR (Accumed) and telehealth services (zoom and doxy.me)
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be responsive to time deadlines

The Hispanic Counseling Center is seeking a “Certified Recovery Peer Support Advocate” (CRPA)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

CRPA will provide direct support services to clients in the Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Clinic and assist in the engagement process, support and coordination of care.

  • Provide recovery support to individuals who are in recovery from substance use or co-occurring mental health disorder.
  • Advocate and coordinate seamless care transitions and person-centered care.
  • Assess situations to determine importance, urgency, risk and need to communicate with the team to meet client’s immediate needs.
  • Complete thorough and timely documentation.
  • Evening/weekend hours may be required

REQUIRED:

  • Certified Recovery Peer Support Advocate (CRPA) certificate
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be fully bilingual in Spanish/English
  • CRPA must work on-site from the agency

PREFERRED:

  • Minimum of one-year experience working with individuals with serious substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders

Hispanic Counseling Center is currently seeking a highly motivated/dedicated Bilingual Spanish/English psychiatrist specialist to join our multidisciplinary clinical treatment team in the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic and Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Clinic.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

The psychiatrist will conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management services in both programs, will complete psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric progress notes and other forms, assist as needed in the clinic. Will also collaborate with the treatment team for the benefit of our clients with mental illness and substance use. Must meet deadlines for all documentation and paperwork requirements.

REQUIRED:

  • Medical Degree
  • Must be fully fluent in Spanish/English
  • Psychiatrist must work on site from the agency

PREFERRED:

  • Board Certified
  • Medication Administration Training (MAT)
  • 3-5 years in Mental Health outpatient clinic experience or Substance Use disorder Outpatient Clinic experience
  • Working with multicultural populations

Hispanic Counseling Center is currently seeking a highly motivated/dedicated Bilingual (English/Spanish) Bilingual Family Peer Advocate to join our Respite Program

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Reports to Program Coordinator
  • Conducts intakes and provides support to family at the initial stage
  • Shall prepare an Individualized Service plan upon clients’ intake and update every six months
  • Shall conduct and write individual, group, and family FPSS session notes
  • Shall complete discharge summaries and linkage to other resources
  • Shall facilitate Parents Groups, trainings, and empower parents and caregivers on monthly basis
  • Shall conduct and collect parent program surveys
  • Shall prepare client progress record charts, write letters when indicated, and submit reports
  • Shall interface with County and State agencies and other community organizations
  • Shall participate in Local and State Conferences
  • Shall attend instructional seminars
  • Shall share information with referral agencies
  • Shall conduct a series of Education classes
  • Educate families on available resources
  • Shall assist CSE meetings when needed
  • Provide guidance and support, during crisis situations, assist with day-to-day activities such as: escorting parents to CSE meetings, connecting parents with community resources, helping parents improve parenting life skills and creating a more stable environment at home and provide parents the skills needed to strengthen their family and prevent hospitalization

REQUIRED:

  • Former or current parent or primary caregiver to a child who has special needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with a variety of multi-ethnic and socio-economic groups and/or individual.
  • Must be knowledgeable of resources available in the community to meet the needs of families.

Bilingual Spanish/English Clinician - Ryan White Part A Program

Hispanic Counseling Center is currently seeking a highly motivated/dedicated full-time Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinician to join our multidisciplinary clinical treatment team in the Ryan White Part A Program.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Clinician will conduct individual, group and family counseling and facilitate psycho-education groups,
  • Clinical will complete assessments, progress notes and treatment plans for our clients with HIV/AIDS.
  • Clinician will maintain daily communication with HIV service providers to coordinate medical and psychiatric services on behalf of clients (i.e. medical case managers, grant funded case managers, transportation services, nutritional services, pharmacies and other services to which clients qualify for.
  • Clinician must also meet deadlines for all documentation by using the CARE Ware Data Program and paperwork requirements. Will also coordinate activities with the Program Peer Supportive Specialist in behalf of the clients.

REQUIRED:

  • LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC is required.
  • Must be fully fluent in both Spanish & English.
  • Clinician must work on-site.

PREFERRED:

  • 3-5 years in Mental Health clinic experience
  • 1 year experience with working with HIV/AIDS population
  • Working with multicultural populations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Proficiency with concurrent documentation
  • Excellent computer skills; familiarity with EMR/EHR (CareWare) and telehealth platforms (zoom and doxy.me)
